ORION SEGUROS GENERALES S.A.
ORION Seguros Generales S.A. entered the Chilean insurance market in December 2008. It was born as a result of a deep analysis and monitoring of the insurance and reinsurance industry in Chile. This revealed a real need for specialized underwriting of complex coverages that, given their particular characteristics, should necessarily be placed abroad to benefit from the support of the main worldwide reinsurance markets.

Likewise, it was remarked that the domestic market also pointed toward the need for a high technology insurance entity, oriented to specific products or portfolios, and based on the assignment of accepted risks to first class reinsurers, not only as concerned their financial soundness and prestige, but also as specialists in the handling of different subjects and products.
Consequently, the above requirements challenged and tasked us to develop an insurance company with a high standard of service and state-of-the-art technology. This company aims to cover specialized risks which, as already mentioned, will be reinsured by international companies with established reputations and worldwide support. At the same time it gives priority to technical expertise, economic solvency and constant support over time, all of which are fundamental to the foundation of an open, transparent and consolidated relationship in the long-term.
